The automatic moist heat is nice. The Bed Buddy's internal beads absorb moisture from the air over time, so it's ready to just be heated and used—neat and convenient. Just heat in the microwave for a minute or so and put it on.

I found that slinging it around the neck works nicely. It sits well on the shoulders to warm the shoulders and neck, but slinging over one shoulder doesn't work nearly as well. Individual bead pouches don't hold beads in place and they ended up dropping down. It takes a bit of work to distribute the beads (and therefore the heat) evenly when in shoulder position.

Best around the neck; nice soft fabric, quick to heat up. When cool, it will withstand several successive re-heats before needing time to sit and automatically regain its moisture content. Wear it sitting, lying down, or walking around the house.
